Borrower – Personal Details

📝 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Select a Title
    Click on the Title* dropdown and select from the available options (e.g., Mr, Mrs, Ms, Dr).

  2. Enter First Name*
    Type the borrower’s first name exactly as shown on official ID.

  3. Enter Other Given Names (Optional)
    If the borrower has middle names or other legal names, enter them here.

  4. Enter Last Name*
    Type the borrower’s surname/family name.

  5. Enter Date of Birth
    Use the format DD-MM-YYYY. Click into the field to bring up the calendar if needed.

  6. Enter Licence Details (if using a driver licence)

    1. Driver Licence: Type the licence number.

    2. Licence Card No: Enter the card number if available.

    3. Licence Expiry Date: Format must be DD-MM-YYYY

6.1 OR – Use Passport Instead
Click Use Passport if entering passport details instead. This will switch the fields accordingly.

When using a passport instead of a driver licence, complete the following fields:

  • Passport no – Click on the field and enter the full passport number as shown on the document.

  • Passport Card No – If your passport includes a card number, click the field and enter it here.

📝 If not applicable, leave this field blank.

  • Passport Expiry Date – Enter the date in DD-MM-YYYY format.

📅 This must match the expiry shown on the passport.

Switch to Licence – If you clicked this by mistake, click “Use Licence” to return to the driver licence fields.

7. Select Residency Status
Click the correct residency status from the available buttons:

  • Australian Citizen

  • Permanent Resident

  • New Zealand Citizen

  • Working Visa

  • Student Visa

✅ The selected option will stay highlighted.

8. Select Marital Status
Choose from the following:

  • Married/De Facto

  • Single/Divorced/Widowed

💡 Click once to activate — no typing required.

📇 Contact Details

1. Email

Click the Email field and enter the borrower’s email address.

2. Mobile Number

Click the Mobile number field and enter a valid Australian mobile number.

3. Add Current Address

Click into the Address field and begin typing the current address.

🔍 A dropdown with suggestions will appear — select the correct one from the list. (Refer to first video below).

4. Add Address Manually (Optional)

If the dropdown doesn’t show the correct address:

  • Click ADD ADDRESS MANUALLY.

  • You'll be taken to a screen where you can enter each address field individually.

📥 Fill Out Each Field for manual address entry:

  • Unit number – If applicable (leave blank if none).

  • Street number – The number of the property (e.g. 99).

  • Street Name – Only the street name (e.g. Eastern Valley Way).

  • Street Type – Choose from the dropdown (e.g. Road, Street, Lane).

  • PostCode – Enter the 4-digit postcode (e.g. 2068).

  • City – Suburb or locality.

  • State – Select your state from the dropdown.

  • Country – Defaults to Australia.

  • Years at – Use the dropdown to select how many full years you’ve lived at this address.

  • Months at – Use the dropdown to select additional months lived there.

    (Refer to second video below).

🏢 Add Employer – User Guide

The Add Employer section helps link the applicant to their current or previous workplace. This is a required step for employment details and can be completed by searching existing records or entering the employer manually.

🔍 Option 1: Search by Business Name or ABN

  1. Click on the dropdown field labeled “Search with business name or ABN”.

  2. Start typing the employer’s business name or ABN (Australian Business Number).

  3. A list of matching records will appear.

  4. Select the correct business from the dropdown.

✍️ Option 2: Add Employer Manually

If the employer cannot be found in the database:

  1. Click the “Add Employer Manually” button beneath the search box.

  2. A manual form will appear where the employer’s details can be entered manually (we’ll cover this section in a follow-up guide).

  3. Fill in all required fields carefully, ensuring accuracy of business information.

⚠️ Note: Manual entry may require additional verification steps later in the process.

🔐 Privacy Agreement

📤 Option 1: Upload Signed Privacy (Manual Upload)

  1. Click Upload sign privacy on the right.

  2. Select the signed privacy statement file from your computer.

  3. The file will upload and attach to the application.

✅ This option is best when the customer has already signed the form offline.

🔗 Option 2: Get Signed Privacy (Self-Service Link)

⚠️ This button is disabled until you complete the following fields:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email

  • Mobile number

Once those are filled:

  1. The Get signed Privacy button becomes active.

  2. Click it to send the customer a secure digital link.

  3. The customer can sign the privacy statement electronically.

🏢 Add Employer – User Guide

The Add Employer section helps link the applicant to their current or previous workplace. This is a required step for employment details and can be completed by searching existing records or entering the employer manually.

🔍 Option 1: Search by Business Name or ABN

  1. Click on the dropdown field labeled “Search with business name or ABN”.

  2. Start typing the employer’s business name or ABN (Australian Business Number).

  4. Select the correct business from the dropdown.

🧾 Credit Profile

🔹 Step 1: Select Credit Score Type

  • Click the Credit Score Type dropdown.

  • Choose the appropriate score type from the list.

🔹 Step 2: Get Credit File

Once all required borrower details are completed in the application (including name, DOB, purchase price, address, ID info, and privacy agreement):

  • The Get Credit file button will become clickable.

  • Click it to generate the borrower's credit report using Equifax Access Seeker.

🛑 This button remains disabled until all mandatory borrower fields are filled and a signed privacy statement is provided.

👤 Personal Profile

🏡 Property / Living Arrangements

Select your current housing situation by clicking one of the buttons:

  • Property Owner – Click on Property Owner if customer is a property owner

  • Renting – Click Renting if customer is renting a property

  • Boarding – Click Boarding is customer is sharing home with others

  • Living w/ Parents – Click living w/parents if customer stays at family home

🔄 The selected option will remain highlighted.

🙎‍♂️Number of Dependents

Use the slider to select how many dependents you financially support (e.g., children, elderly parents).

  • Slide the circle on the bar

💰Personal Profile – Renting

Once “Renting” is selected, two new fields appear below:

  1. 📞 Landlord or Agent Contact Number

    • Click on Contact number field and enter the phone number of landlord or real estate agent.

    • Format: Australian mobile or landline (e.g., 0412 345 678 or 02 9876 5432)

  2. 💸 Monthly Rent Amount

    • Click on rent amount month and type current monthly rent (e.g., 1800)

    • No dollar signs needed – just the numbers.

    👉 Only numbers and decimal points allowed.

3.2. Personal Finances 💰

💰 Assets

Asset Type

  1. Click the dropdown and select from options like Investments, Superannuation, Motor Vehicle, etc.

2.Value

  • Click on the field and enter the estimated dollar value of the asset (e.g., 25,000 for a car).

3.Description

  • Click on the field and add a short note (e.g., “2017 Toyota Corolla” or “Term deposit at CBA”).

✅ Once done, click Add Asset to save the entry. You can add multiple assets if needed and remove them also if needed.

💳 Liabilities

  1. Liabilities Type

    • Choose from options like Credit Card, Personal Loan, Mortgage, etc.

2. Outstanding Amount

  • Click on the Outstanding Amount field and enter what the customer still owe (not the original loan amount).

3. Limit

  • Click on the Limit field and add the full credit limit or loan cap

4. Financier

  • Click on the financier text field and name who provided the loan or credit (e.g., NAB, ANZ, Commbank)

5. Repayment Frequency

  • Select how often you make repayments (e.g., Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly).

  • Click the dropdown box and a list of options will be displayed below. Click the appropriate option.

6. Repayment Amount

  • Click on the repayment amount field

  • Enter appropriate value

7. Description

  • Click on description filed to add any notes to clarify the liability (e.g., “Credit card for household use”).

✅ Click Add Liability if you wish to record more liabilities.

🚫 Click on Remove Liability if you wish to remove liabilities.

💵 Income

Enter the borrower's regular net income details by completing the fields below:

🧾 Step-by-Step:

  1. Income Type

    • Click the dropdown to select the type of income (e.g., Employment, Pension, Rental, etc.)

2. Income Amount

  • Type the net amount (i.e., after tax) received for this income source.

3. Income Frequency

  • Click the dropdown to choose how often the income is received:

    • Weekly

    • Fortnightly

    • Monthly

    • Annually

💳 Expenses

  1. Click the dropdown under “Expense type”
    ➤ Choose the category of the expense (e.g. Rent, Utilities, Subscriptions, etc.)

  2. Enter the Expense Amount
    ➤ Type in the amount (in AUD).

  3. Select Expense Frequency
    ➤ Choose how often this amount is paid (Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly, Annually).

  4. Click “ADD EXPENSE”
    ➤ The button becomes active once all three fields are filled. ➤ Click it to save and add another expense if needed.

Shared Expenses Slider

After adding expenses:

  • Use the Shared Expenses slider to indicate the percentage of those expenses that are shared with another person (e.g., 50% if you split rent with a partner).

  • Slide the toggle to the desired % (from 0% to 100%).

🏢 Employment Details

🔹 Step 1: Add Employer

Option 1 – Search

  • In the “Add employer” field, type the business name or ABN.

  • Select the correct employer from the dropdown.

Option 2 – Manual Entry

  • If the employer isn't listed, click “ADD EMPLOYER MANUALLY”.

🔹 Step 2: Fill in Employer Details

Complete all fields under Employer Details:

  1. Employer Name – Auto-filled if selected, or enter manually.

  2. Employment Type – Select one:

    • Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Contract, Self-employed, Benefits, Unemployed

  3. Time of Employment – Enter total months worked.

  4. Occupation – Select from dropdown.

  5. Manager – Enter your direct supervisor’s name.

  6. Contact Number – Enter your employer’s main phone number.

  7. Status – Choose from dropdown (e.g., Active, Probation).

  8. Industry – Select the relevant industry.

  9. Address – Enter employer’s address.

🔄 Step 3: Add Previous Employer (if required)

If needed:

  • Search for the previous employer by business name or ABN, or

  • Click “ADD EMPLOYER MANUALLY” to enter details manually, then repeat Step 2.

Identity – Verifying Your ID Documents

Option 1: Get ID Documents via OCR Labs (Self-Service)

⚠️ This button will only work after a valid mobile number is entered under contact details.

  1. Once the mobile number is filled in, the “Get ID documents” button becomes active.

  2. Click the button to send a secure self-service link to the customer.

  3. The customer receives an SMS to upload their ID using their phone camera.

Option 2: Upload ID Documents Manually

If the customer already sent you ID files (e.g., scanned licence or passport):

  1. Click the Upload ID documents button on the right.

  2. Choose the files stored locally on your computer.

  3. Make sure the files are:

    • Clear and readable

    • Unexpired

    • In PDF, JPEG, or PNG format

🛑 Common Errors to Avoid:

  • Missing mobile number (prevents self-service link)

  • Blurry or cropped documents

  • Expired IDs

📎 Other Documents

🧾 Step-by-Step:

  1. Enter Document Name

    • Click on the field and type a brief, clear title that describes the file (e.g. “Explanation Letter”, “Lease Agreement”, “Extra ID”).

  2. Click “Upload Document”

    • Once the name is entered, the UPLOAD DOCUMENT button will activate.

    • Click it to browse your computer and select the file to upload.
